Join us at Folkestone Library for a free author talk with William Shaw! 🎟️ Tickets are FREE! But booking is essential. Please contact Folkestone Library by calling 03000 41 31 31

William Shaw will be talking about The Red Shore, the first book in his new crime fiction series. The series is set in the port town of Teignmouth in Devon, where he grew up.
Like his DS Cupidi series, which is set in Dungeness, his new books are based in coastal communities. They explore the challenges of life in modern seaside towns.
During the talk, William will discuss crime fiction, why people enjoy reading it, and why stories set in real places people recognise are so popular.
This is a relaxed, welcoming event for anyone who enjoys reading and books. Open to all ages, though adults may find it more suitable.

This free author talk is part of Kent Libraries wider support for the National Year of Reading, a national initiative that encourages people to read more for pleasure. This year’s message is Go all in. If you are into it. Read into it.
